Who We Are

Faith Lived Together

Old Trinity is a parish of The Episcopal Church where ancient Christian traditions guide our worship and shape our life together. Each week we gather around scripture, prayer, music, and the Eucharist as we seek to follow Christ in our daily lives.

Faith here is lived out throughout the week. We share meals, serve our neighbors, and work alongside partners across Tiffin to bring hope and healing to our community.

What We Believe

First, we are Christians. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. We believe the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, contains all things necessary for salvation and tells the story of God’s love for humanity.

The Bible tells the story of our creation, humanity’s fall, the calling of Israel, and the coming of Jesus Christ— born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, risen, and ascended into heaven. Through Christ salvation is offered to all.

Every person is loved by God, and the Church exists to share this good news with the world.

The Sacraments

We gather at the Lord’s table to share the sacred meal of the Eucharist, where Christ is present with us in the bread and wine.

Baptism marks the beginning of the Christian life, bringing forgiveness, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and entry into the Church.

Along the journey of faith we also experience other sacred moments such as confirmation, reconciliation, marriage, ordination, and prayers for the sick.

The Episcopal Church

Old Trinity is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, a global family of churches rooted in both the catholic tradition of the early church and the renewal of the Reformation.

Our worship follows the Book of Common Prayer and the rhythms of the Church year. These practices shape our prayer life and connect us to centuries of Christian worship.

We affirm the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed and worship God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Human Dignity

In our baptismal covenant we promise to strive for justice and peace among all people and to respect the dignity of every human being.

This means standing with the poor, the marginalized, the immigrant, and the stranger in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

We seek to find God in all people with a faith that is active, welcoming, and deeply connected to our community. Rooted in the inclusive spirit of The Episcopal Church, we nourish our neighbors through the Tiffin Community Kitchen, support immigrants in Seneca County, and walk alongside those on the journey of recovery.
